Prayer Topic: Unknown

When our circumstances start turning in the wrong direction, we are confronted with the truth that we actually have very little control and facing the unknown often causes us to worry. Someone who is facing the unknown is most likely experiencing feelings of fear and anxiety. Remind them that God cares about them and that He is trustworthy to be in control. Over and over he reminds us that He is in control, that He is good, and that all we need to do is trust in Him.

Possible Things to Pray for:

• Give up desire to control.
• Identify and eliminate any areas where you are not trusting God.
• Guarded mind against feelings of worry.
• Authority that comes from the Holy Spirit over thoughts, words and deeds.

Philippians 4:6-7 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
